Violinist Emily Sun joins Percius Management roster

Australian violinist Emily Sun joins violinists Rachel Podger and Jack Liebeck at Percussion management.

Born in 1991, Sun was the 2016 recipient of the Overseas Royal League‘s Commonwealth Musician of the Year Award and won the 2018 award ABC Young Performer of the Year competetion.

She also received the Tagore Gold Medal in her senior year at the royal college of musicwhere she studied with Itzhak Rashkovsky. Before that, she completed her undergraduate studies with Dr Robin Wilson at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

In 2022, Sun has upcoming recordings and concerto engagements with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestraas good as Mozart Players in London. She will also premiere a newly commissioned concerto.

Sun’s solo CD, ‘Nocturnes’, was released on Australian label ABC Classics/Universal, was number one on the Australian Classical Charts for four weeks, and was shortlisted for Best Classical Album at the ARIA Award.

“[I am] thrilled to start the new year with exciting news that I will be joining Percius Management’s slate for general management,” Sun wrote on social media. “Thrilled to be with such a great management team and surrounded by artists that I have deeply admired for years.”
