Violinist Shiqi Luo Joins Paulus Hook Music Foundation for “Midsummer Night’s Dream” Children’s Concerts

Violinist Shiqi Luo has joined the Paulus Hook Music Foundation for a special concert series, “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, to benefit Brighter Bee Academy students.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY, USA, August 14, 2022 / — Chinese-born violinist and soloist Shiqi Luo has joined Paulus Hook Music Foundation for a double series of concerts, “Midsummer Night’s Dream”, for the benefit of the students of Brighter Bee Academy on July 16 and August 6, 2022. Through its new partnership with the Paulus Hook Music Foundation, Shiqi introduced classical music composers through creative string instruction. In a relaxed environment, children learned the basics of song structure through the familiar music of classical, children’s and musicals…

“As a violinist, I have been trained and nurtured by many excellent teachers throughout my journey, and now I would like to pass on what I have learned to the next generation,” Shiqi said. “Music education can develop children’s intelligence, and playing an instrument can develop coordination skills and strong will.”

Shiqi Luo is an internationally renowned violinist who received professional training from Mr. Wang Baihong, chairman of the violin art committee of the Ningbo Musicians Association, at the age of 4 and studied with the violinist and world-renowned educator, Professor Lina Yu. At age 11, she performed “Butterfly Lovers” on stage with violinist Lina Yu, Zhijiong Wang and Mengla Huang at the Shanghai Grand Theater. Since then, she has performed at the United Nations Health Industry Summit (2018), the MusicAlp International Academy Festival in France, the Beijing International Music Festival and with singer Ruston Ropac at the Columbia University Concert Hall. . As a rising star of classical music in Ningbo city, she has also performed in concert—-“Coming Home”. His music has been praised by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with the inclusion of his recording of Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3 on their 50th anniversary album and weekly radio concerts.

Shiqi earned a master’s degree and a certificate of professional studies in classical violin performance from professors Lucie Robert and Malkin Iscca of the Manhattan School of Music.
